EcoE is currently supporting a mining operation with a 𝐓𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 approach, optimising the complete system, not only the tailings facility. As the 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝 (𝐄𝐨𝐑), we don’t take a narrow approach; we consider the full tailings value chain, including slurry transfer, deposition performance, and water recovery/return water optimisation.

We’re delivering two parallel workstreams:

• 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐞-𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, including intake disturbance minimisation, bench testwork (coagulant/flocculant screening), hydrochemical screening, and evaluating thickener-to-clarifier repurpose/retrofit concepts focused on overflow clarity and water reuse.
• 𝐒𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐬 𝐪𝐮𝐨 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, including pumpstation and pipeline condition review, temporary non-intrusive performance verification (flow/pressure/density/speed where practicable), hydraulic constraints assessment, and practical upgrades for future deposition duties and closure needs.

Together, this supports better water efficiency, operability, and system reliability, helping the client get the best out of the tailings facility and the broader tailings system.
