Impact Assessments and Authorisations

Eco Elementum employs Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAPs) registered with the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA) with more than 30 years combined experience. Eco Elementum EAPs hold the primary responsibility for the planning, management, coordination, compilation and review of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Environmental Management Programme Reports (EMPrs), Waste Management- and Water Use Licence Applications.

Environmental Authorisation Applications include, but are not limited to the following:
  • National Environmental Management Act (NEMA), 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998) and the associated EIA regulations Autorisation for Listed Activities
  • National Environmental Management: Waste Act, 2008 (Act No. 59 of 2008) (NEM:WA) Waste Management Applications (WML)
  • National Environment Management: Air Quality Act, 2004 (Act No. 39 of 2004) (NEM:AQA) Atmospheric Emission License (AEL)
  • National Water Act, 1998 (Act No. 36 of 1998) (NWA)
  • General Authorisation (GA) and Water Use License (WUL)
  • Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 2002 (Act No. 28 of 2002) (MPRDA) Prospecting Right (PR), Mining Permit (MP) Mining Right (MR) and S102 amendment
  • National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No 107 of 1998) (NEMA) Public Participation Processes (PPP)
